My Beauty Empties-Spring Edition

It’s time to take another trip through my beauty trash (there is a lot) and see what I liked, what I didn’t like and what I would repurchase:

Skin Care

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser* - This is my go to night time cleanser. It cleanses, hydrates and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry after using. This is repurchased all the time!

CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion* - This is also repurchased all the time too! This contains ceramides, niacinamides and hyaluronic acid, doesn’t have any fragrance, doesn’t and moisturizes my skin. I use this morning and evening, and this is repurchased all the time too!

Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Polishing Mask* - This does double duty! It’s a mask that you leave on for 5-7 minutes, then becomes an exfoliator with a little water. This leaves my skin baby smooth and deep cleaned, but I will not be repurchasing since I no longer do physical exfoliations on my skin.

Alpha Skin Care Enhanced Revitalizing Cream* - This contains 12% glycolic acid and is not drying. This is perfect since I cannot use any retinol or Retin A products on my skin. I have been using and loving this for a very long time and will always repurchase this!

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Argan Oil* - I have been using this since it was released, and I love it, but will not be repurchasing. I have found another Argan oil that is just as good and not as expensive.

Trader Joe’s 100% Organic Argan Oil - This is my new go to Argan Oil! It’s organic and does everything for my skin just like the PF Argan oil, but it’s half the price!

Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion SPF 15 – I have been using this for many years, I love it! I know it’s only SPF 15, but it is hydrating, works well under makeup and contains vitamins A, C & E.

Perfectly Pure Natural Vitamin E Moisturizing Stick - I have been using this around my eyes morning and night for years and will continue to repurchase this (available at Walmart in the vitamin section).

Beauty Drops Vitamin E Moisturizer* - I love this cream! I have been using this morning and night for years too and will continue to repurchase this.

Collagen Essence Facial Tissue Mask - This contains 2 masks, 1 fresh aloe and 1 cucumber. Both are drenched in anti-aging ingredients and are very moisturizing and have been using these for years now and continue to repurchase.

Found Coconut Sheet Mask - This sheet mask was easy to apply to my face and hydrating, but I prefer my sheet masks from Collagen Essence (available at Walmart)!

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes* - These facial wipes are very good! Removes all traces of makeup, doesn’t leave a residue and is hydrating! This will be repurchased!

Algenist Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream* - This cream is luxury in a jar! This kept my skin moisturized throughout the winter months! This is expensive (I had a deluxe sample size) so I will have to save my pennies to buy the full size.

Algenist Ultimate Anti-Aging Eye Cream* - Just like the coordinating facial cream, this is luxury in a jar for your eyes and kept my under eyes moisturized throughout the winter months too. This is also expensive (I had a deluxe sample size), so again, I will have to save my pennies to buy the full size.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Defense Face Lotion* - I used this every morning and worked well to keep acne under control, but it was drying so because of that, I will not be repurchasing.

Carmex Healing Lip Balm (jar)* - Love this! I have been using this forever and will continue to repurchase again and again!

Carmex Original Lip Balm (stick)* - This is in my handbag always for lip hydration when I need it on the go! Repurchase all the time!

IT Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream* - This was okay. It was hydrating, but not enough for me to want to purchase the full size (I had a sample packet).

Makeup

Physicians Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara* - I love this mascara for every day! It gives me length, volume, doesn’t smear or flake and it’s easy to remove. I have repurchased many times and will continue to buy.

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara* - This mascara my absolute favorite! I love the length and volumes it gives my lashes, doesn’t flake or smear under my eyes, lasts all day and repurchase this all the time, can’t live without this mascara!

L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara* - With all the hype surrounding this mascara, I tried it. I really wanted to like this mascara. It did give my lashes lots of length and volume, but it flaked under my eyes and burned my eyes when removing with my makeup remover which was disappointing, so I will not be repurchasing this mascara.

Kiko Milano Maxi-Mod Mascara – This mascara was okay, I didn’t hate it or love it. Won’t buy again because I have mascaras I really love and buy all the time.

L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Primer* - Love this! Always use before mascara to give my lashes the false lash look without false lashes!

Manna Kadan Cosmetics Lash Primer – I received this in a Beauty Box 5 beauty box. It was good, but not as good as my Loreal lash primer, so will not repurchase.

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara (in the shade Deep Brown)* - I have just finished up my third tube of this, I love this and need repurchase as soon as possible!

Physicians Formula Talc Free All-in-1 ABC Cushion Foundation SPF 50 (in the shade Light)* - This is my absolute favorite cushion foundation! I have repurchased another one, this is always in the foundation rotation!

Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Mascara (in the shade Nothing But Brunette)* - This was okay. Kept my brows in place, but the color wasn’t quite dark enough, so no repurchase of this.

Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara (in the shade Browny Brows)* - This is good and use this for no makeup, makeup looks or when I do not want to spend a lot of time doing my brows. This gives your brows enough without much effort which I do like for every day!

e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set Setting Spray* - This is the best makeup setting spray at the drugstore, love this and have bought many bottles of this and will continue to buy!

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Setting Spray* - This is a good setting spray (the spray nozzle is a little wonky). Did help to keep my makeup in place most of the day and didn’t dry out my skin.

NYX Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray* - This setting is okay, I didn’t hate it, but I also didn’t love it. Won’t repurchase.

Body Care

Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter - This is my go to body moisturizer and has been for years. This moisturizes very well and will continue to repurchase this!

Olay Ultra Moisture Shea Butter Body Wash* - This is my all-time favorite body wash. I have tried other body washes and I always return to Olay because the rich formula leaves my skin hydrated after getting out of the shower, it’s just the best!

Johnson’s Shea & Cocoa Butter Baby Oil* - I need all the moisture I can get so I apply this before my shower. It does help keep my skin hydrated while taking a hot shower and will continue to repurchase this.

Equate Cocoa Butter Petroleum Jelly* - I apply this to my feet and cover with cotton socks every night before bed. Been doing this for years and will continue to repurchase this.

Equate Moisturizing Care Advanced Recovery Body Lotion* - I wash my hands frequently so I keep this at the kitchen sink to keep my hands moisturized after every hand washing, works well and will repurchase.

Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion (for very dry skin)* - This is a must have in the shower for me! This moisturizes my skin without feeling sticky and have bought to replace the empty one!

Hair Care

DNA Hydrating Co-Wash Conditioning Cleanser* - I do not use the traditional shampoo and conditioner, I like a cleansing conditioner and this one was my favorite, but it’s no longer available where I was buying it, so I had to find another, and I did (read below).

As I Am Coconut Co-Wash* - This co-wash has replaced what I was using before, and I love it! It’s better that the other one and will continue to repurchase!

Personal Care

Degree Dry Protection Invisible Solid (in Sheer Powder)* - I have tried many anti-perspirant/deodorants over the years and this one is the best! It keeps me dry during the very hot summers as well as during many hot flashes too! Always repurchase this!

Dental Care

Toms of Maine Anti-Plaque & Whitening Toothpaste (in Peppermint)* - I love this toothpaste, have been using it for years and will always repurchase!

Toms of Maine Wicked Fresh Mouthwash (in Peppermint Wave)* - I have been using this for years too and love it! Freshens my mouth with the burn of alcohol! Always buy this!

DenTek Complete Clean Floss Picks* - These are great for back teeth and easy to use. Have purchased many times and will again!

Oral B Pro-Health Advanced Floss Picks* - Easy to use and great for back teeth as well. Only purchased once, went back to DenTek.

I sure did accumulate a lot of beauty trash, but now I can toss all the empties and start again and until next time, stay happy, healthy and beautiful!
