My Beauty Empties-Summer Edition
It’s time to take another trip through my beauty trash (there
is a lot as always since I do this every season) and see what I liked or loved,
what I didn’t like or love and what I would repurchase again:
Skin Care
CeraVe Hydrating
Cleanser* - This is
my go-to nighttime cleanser. It cleanses, hydrates and doesn’t leave my skin
feeling dry after using. I repurchase this all the time!
CeraVe PM Facial
Moisturizing Lotion* -
This is also repurchased all the time too! This contains ceramides,
niacinamides and hyaluronic acid, doesn’t have any fragrance, and moisturizes
my skin. I use this morning and evening without fail!
Alpha Skin Care Intensive
Renewal Serum* - This
contains 14% glycolic acid and I use this at night (I recently started using Alpha Skin Care Enhanced Renewal Cream with 12%
glycolic acid every morning also). Since I cannot use any retinol or Retin A
products on my skin, this is perfect for my skin and will always repurchase
this!
Trader Joe’s 100%
Organic Argan Oil - This has been my go-to Argan Oil for a few years now! I
use this twice a day and my skin loves it!
Trader Joe’s Enrich
Moisturizing Face Lotion SPF 15 – I have been using this for years, I love
it! I know it’s only SPF 15, but it is hydrating, works well under makeup and
contains vitamins A, C & E.
Perfectly Pure
Natural Vitamin E Moisturizing Stick* - I have been using this around my eyes morning and night for
years and will continue to repurchase this (available on Amazon, no longer
available at Walmart a).
Beauty Drops Vitamin
E Moisturizer - I love this cream! I have been using this morning and night
for years too and will continue to repurchase this.
Collagen Essence
Facial Tissue Mask - This contains 2 masks, 1 fresh aloe and 1 cucumber.
Both are drenched in anti-aging ingredients and are very moisturizing and I have
been using these for years now and continue to repurchase (available at the 99
cents only store).
Purifying Black
Charcoal Sheet Mask* -
This sheet mask was easy to apply to my face, hydrating while deep cleansing
and was a good mas, but I prefer my sheet masks from Collagen Essence.
Neutrogena Rapid
Clear Acne Defense Face Lotion* - I used this every morning and worked well to keep acne under
control, but it was drying so because of that, I will not be repurchasing.
Neutrogena Acne Stress Control
Power Cream Wash* I have used this cleanser every morning
for a few years. It contains 2% salicylic acid, green tea and cucumber, is not
drying and perfect to use after my morning workouts.
Carmex Healing
Lip Balm (jar)* -
Love this! I have been using this forever and will continue to repurchase again
and again!
L’Oréal Age Perfect
Hydra-Nutrition Day Cream, Night Cream and Eye Gel* - All three of these
products were sent to me. I loved the moisturizers. Both were very moisturizing
and helped keep my skin hydrated during the late winter/spring months. As for
the eye gel, it has a roller ball at the end that’s supposed to help with
depuffing, which it did, but was not as hydrating as the creams. Would
repurchase the creams again for winter, but not the eye gel.
Nu Pore Revitalizing Gel Eye Patch – These eye
patches are infused with aloe vera and collagen. I did not find these to be as
moisturizing as the package stated, so I will not be repurchasing.
Makeup
Essence Lash Princess
False Lash Effect Mascara*
- This mascara my absolute favorite! I love the length and volumes it gives
my lashes, doesn’t flake or smear under my eyes, lasts all day and repurchase
this all the time, can’t live without this mascara!
Essence Instant Volume Boost
Mascara* - This is a good mascara. Gave me volume and
length, didn’t smudge or smear under my eyes, lasted all day and didn’t burn my
eyes when I removed it. Still prefer Lash Princess mascara.
Essence Volume Booster Lash
Primer* - I have used many lash primers, but this one has
acai oil and mango butter, so it conditions your lashes while priming your
lashes which I really like, and I have already purchased a new one!
Maybelline Brow
Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara (in the shade Deep Brown)* - I have just finished up my third
tube of this, I love this and need repurchase as soon as possible!
Body Care
Olay Ultra
Moisture Shea Butter Body Wash* - This is my all-time favorite body wash. I have tried other body
washes and I always return to Olay because the rich formula leaves my skin
hydrated after getting out of the shower, it’s just the best!
Bath and Body Works Rose
Moisturizing Body Wash* - This body wash has shea and
cocoa butters and the scent of rose which is my favorite scent! This comes very
close to my all-time favorite Olay body wash and would repurchase again.
Equate Marula Oil Restoring
Body Wash* - I loved the scent of this body wash, but it
was not moisturizing enough for my skin, so will not repurchase.
Johnson’s Shea
& Cocoa Butter Baby Oil*
- I need all the moisture I can get so I apply this before my shower. It
does help keep my skin hydrated while taking a shower and will continue to
repurchase this.
Equate Cocoa Butter
Petroleum Jelly - I apply this to my feet and cover with cotton socks every
night before bed. Been doing this for years and will continue to repurchase
this.
Equate
Moisturizing Care Advanced Recovery Body Lotion* - I wash my hands frequently so I
keep this at the kitchen sink to keep my hands moisturized after every hand
washing, works well and always repurchase.
Nivea In-Shower
Body Lotion (for very dry skin)* - This is a must have in the shower for me! This moisturizes my
skin without feeling sticky and always repurchase.
Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin
Moisturizer* - This in-shower moisturizer is good. I
enjoyed using it, but it wasn’t as moisturizing as my favorite Nivea in-shower
moisturizer. Will not repurchase.
CeraVe Renewing SA Lotion*
- This lotion is for extremely dry, rough, bumpy skin and contains
salicylic acid, ceramides and vitamin D. I really enjoyed using this lotion
during the first part of the summer. It kept my skin moisturized and hydrated
without feeling heavy and would repurchase again.
CeraVe Moisturizing Cream*
- This has been my go-to body cream for a couple of years now. I love how
it really moisturizing my skin especially during the winter months. Cannot be
without this cream and repurchase all the time.
Degree Dry
Protection Invisible Solid (in Sheer Powder)* - I have tried many anti-perspirant/deodorants over the years and
this one is the best! It keeps me dry during the very hot summers as well as
during many hot flashes too! Always repurchase this!
Hair Care
As I Am Coconut
Co-Wash* - This
co-wash is the best that I have used. It cleans, conditions and detangles my
hair and I do not have to use additional replenishing, conditioning or
detangling products on my hair. This does it all and will always repurchase.
Self Care
Aveda Shampure Composition Oil*
- This is a calming, aromatic oil that’s for body, bath and scalp. I put a
drop or two into my body moisturizer when I need to calm my frazzled self to
start my day or at night when I need a calm mind to get to sleep. Works well
and will repurchase.
Dental Care
Toms of Maine
Wicked Fresh Mouthwash (in Cool Mountain Mint)* - I have been using this for years,
but once I finish the new bottle I opened, I will not repurchase as I like the
natural mouthwash from Hello much better.
Hello Antiplaque + Whitening
Fluoride Free Toothpaste (in natural peppermint)* - A new
discovery for me and I really love it. It has tea tree and coconut oil and
really cleans my teeth and freshens my whole mouth and I have repurchased a new
tube.
Hello Fluoride Free Whitening
Toothpaste with Activated Charcoal* - This is really good
at whitening and keeping my teeth white and use 1-2 times a week. I have
repurchased a new tube.
DenTek Complete
Clean Easy Reach Floss Picks*
- These are great for back teeth and easy to use. Have purchased many times and
will again!
I sure did accumulate a lot of beauty trash, but now I can
toss all the empties and start again and until next time, be happy, healthy and
beautiful!
