What’s In My Makeup Bag For September

This is a new series here at Glam Budget Beauty! I will be sharing with you what’s in my makeup bag each month. For the month of September, I have put a few of my holy grail favorites from It Cosmetics, e.l.f., NYX, Essence and Revlon as well as some “new to me” products that I purchased from Ulta or were in my August Boxy Charm. So, here is what I will be using throughout September:

For The Face

Essence Fresh & Fit Awake Primer*: This is a healthy glow primer with pore minimizing effect and contains a vitamin complex and cranberry water. I picked this up at Ulta a couple weeks ago and I am finally getting around to trying this out. This is new to me and sounds promising and cannot wait to test this out.

Wander Beauty Glow Ahead Illuminating Face Oil*: This came in my August Boxy Charm and is new to me. This is a lightweight illuminating face oil that will lock in moisture and bring out your skin’s inner radiance. Sounds like something my skin needs and I am looking forward to trying this.

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Full Coverage Cream Original and CC+ Full Coverage Cream Illumination* (both in the shade light): These are my go to foundations! Great coverage contains anti-aging ingredients, provides hydration and has SPF 50+ too! Everything I need in one tube!

Garnier Skin Active Clearly Bright Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller Concealer* (in the shade light/medium): I love this! It covers darkness, brightens and has a cooling roller ball that helps to depuff the undereye area.

Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer* (in the shade 020 Light Beige): This is becoming a holy grail concealer for me! I use this to spot cover blemishes, redness and hyperpigmentation and covers really well.

Becca Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder* (in the shade Original): This powder is formulated with 50% water and glycerin and creates a mist-like sensation on the skin. I received this in my August Boxy Charm, and I cannot wait to try this (this powder is a part of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Event and is on sale today only, 9/3/2019 for $19.50. Grab one before they are gone).

e.l.f. Bronzer Palette* (in the shade Bronze Beauty): This was my go to bronzer palette because of the 4 different shades of bronzer it has, but it got pushed to the back of my drawer and forgotten until I found it recently and now I will be using it once again.

e.l.f. Blush Palette* (in the shade Light. There is a dark palette available for deeper skin tones): Another e.l.f. favorite that was hidden and rediscovered. Love that there are 4 shades to choose from and I am looking forward to using this palette again.

e.l.f. Baked Highlighter (in the shade Moonlight Pearls): Once again, another e.l.f. long time favorite hidden and found. I have always loved this highlighter and looking forward to using it again.

For The Eyes

Tarte Tartelette 2 in Bloom Clay Eye Shadow Palette*: This is a “new to me” palette that I bought at Ulta a few weeks ago. It has 12 shadows total with a mix of mattes and shimmers that are warm toned for the lid, crease and lining the eye. These shades are right my alley and cannot wait to see what eye looks I can create with this palette (this palette is a part of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Event and will be on sale on 9/15/2019 only for $19.50).

Butter London Natural Goddess Eye Shadow Palette*: This came in my August Boxy Charm. It has 6 shades, 4 shimmer and 2 mattes. I am liking the shimmer shades as well as one matte shade, the other matte shade really isn’t my color, but I am looking forward to testing this palette out this month.

Essence Volume Stylist 18hr Lash Extension Mascara with Lengthening Fibers*: I love the Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara and I am never without my holy grail mascara, but I picked this up on a whim and tried it out over the Labor Day weekend and I loved it! It lengthened my lashes, no clumping, flaking or smearing and lasted all day! Could this replace my Lash Princess, time will tell!

Tarte Big Ego Mascara*: This also came in my August Boxy Charm and is new to me. I am a big fan of Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara (Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara is a part of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Event and will be on sale on 9/12/2019 only for $11.50), so I have high hopes the Big Ego Mascara will be just as good as Lights, Camera, Lashes and I am looking forward to testing this mascara out.

Benefit Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel* (in the shade 4.5 Medium, a neutral deep brown): I bought this a few months ago and has become my new favorite brow gel. This tints my eyebrows and gives them definition with a few quick brush strokes. It’s quick and easy to use when you don’t feel like or have the time to use a brow pencil.

For The Lips

NYX Slim Lip Pencil* (in the shade Natural): Holy grail lip pencil for me! I do have a few other shades, but this shade is my favorite because it’s very versatile and goes with pretty much all of lipsticks I have in my collection and I use it all the time.

M.A.C. Crème Sheen Lipstick* (in the shade Crème In My Coffee): I love this formulation and this is the perfect color to transition into fall (this lipstick along with the matte shade Diva are a part of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Event and will be on sale on 9/5/2019 only for $9.25 ea.).

Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Moisturizing Lipstick* (in the shade Suede Splash): I really like these lipsticks, and this is another fall transition color to put into the rotation for fall makeup starting with this month.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick* (in the shade Smoky Rose): I have been using Revlon lipsticks off and on for many years and are one of my favorite drugstore lipsticks. The shade range is huge, and this shade is my favorite any time of the year, especially now since fall is just around the corner.

NYX Butter Gloss* (in the shades Crème Brulee & Tiramisu): This is the best drugstore lip gloss ever and has been my holy grail for a very long time. It’s not sticky, it’s very pigmentated and can be worn alone, over lipliner or over lipstick.

Caboodles Makeup Case*: This is my “makeup bag” I store the makeup I will be using each month (the one pictured below I have had for many years and is no longer available, but there are newer versions available in great colors and sizes).

This is what’s in my makeup bag for the month of September! I will keep you updated with “Makeup of the Day” pictures and possible stories on Instagram throughout the month, so make sure you are following me there (@sherri_glambudgetbeautyblog) and until next time, be happy, healthy and beautiful!
