August Favorites

August brought the last days of summer vacation hanging out at the pool with friends, family vacations and the first day of school for many and now August is over, so it’s time to talk about what I have been loving this past month:

Makeup & Fragrance

Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in the shade #216 Kiss Kiss Bang Bang* - This is a great shade for summer! Love the formulation of this lipstick, doesn’t dry out my lips and this has been my go to shade for the month.

e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set* - I love this makeup setting spray! It’s hydrating, it contains aloe, green tea, cucumber and vitamins A, C & E, it doesn’t contain any alcohol and my makeup last all day.

e.l.f. Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette* - This palette is great! The pigmentation is good, all matte shades and this has been my go to eye shadow palette for the month.

e.l.f. Prism Eyeshadow Palette in the shade Naked* - I love the shimmer shades in this palette and have been using some of the colors in this palette along with the Mad for Matte palette when I wanted more of a “glam” look.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in the shade Vanilla* - I rediscovered this foundation in my collection and I am back in love with this foundation! I use 1 pump and I get good medium coverage, doesn’t look cakey on my skin, doesn’t settle into my fine lines, doesn’t dry out my skin, last most of the day.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance* - I ran out of my fave eye shadow primer so I have been using this one and it is very good! This has been keeping my eyeshadow in place during the humid, hot days of August and no creasing. I may be switching to this primer when it runs out!

Wet n Wild Coloricon Bronzer SPF 15 in the shade Reserve Your Cabana* - Why this is called a bronzer is beyond me, but I have been using this to set my makeup and as a subtle cheek highlight. This “bronzer” is perfect for both and I have using this all month long!

Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Fine Fragrance Mist* - Fall is just around the corner (thank goodness!) and this has been hibernating in my fragrance collection waiting for fall to arrive, but I am impatient so I brought this out of hibernation and have been using this all month long and will continue to use this throughout fall (whenever fall decides arrives which I hope is sooner rather than later).
