July Favorites

July brought Fourth of July fireworks and celebrations and lazy days lounging by the pool and now July is over, so it’s time to talk about what I have been loving this past month:

Makeup

L’Oréal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation in #208 Sun Beige* - This foundation says it wears up to 24 hours. I haven’t worn this for 24 hours straight, but it does last most of the day, is hydrating, lightweight, leaves a luminous glow on my skin, provides good coverage and has SPF 15. I have been reaching for this most of the month and I love it for the hot, humid days of summer.

Covergirl Tru Blend Bronzer* - I came across this in my bronzer collection and have been using it pretty much every day in July! This is the perfect summer shade for my skin tone, has a satin finish and lasts most of the day.

Covergirl Tru Blend Blush in Medium Rose* - I thought I would bring this back out and use it along with the Covergirl bronzer. This is the perfect complement to the bronzer. I love this shade on my cheeks, it has a satin finish and lasts most of the day.

Milani Amore Matte Lip Crème in #11 Precious* - This stays on most of the day, doesn’t dry out my lips and is a great shade for summer.

L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise in Black* - This mascara is supposed to be a dupe for the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara which I was not impressed with when I used it. It flaked and smeared under my eyes, but this mascara did not flake or smear under my eyes, gave me length and volume and this has been my go to mascara for the month of July.

BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Matte Finish Pressed Powder in #230* - This powder sets my foundation and provides additional coverage, gives a matte finish and doesn’t look cakey on my skin. Perfect powder for the hot, humid days of summer.

Skin Care

L’Oréal Revitalift Moisturizer* - This is a very good moisturizer for my dry skin, however I use this at night right now because it is a little too much to use twice a day during the summer months. This is going to be perfect for winter time when I need all the moisture I can get.

Trader Joe’s 100% Organic Argan Oil* - This lightweight oil moisturizes my skin, doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy, I can apply makeup soon after application and is as good as my all-time favorite Argan oil from Physicians Formula. I may be making the switch to this Argan oil when it comes time to buy more.

Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion SPF 15* - I have been using this lotion for years now, but the last year I have been trying different SPF face lotions and I have returned to my tried and true SPF face lotion. This is lightweight, fragrance free, contains chemical and physical ingredients, has vitamins A, C & E and provides UVA/UVB protection.

Non-Beauty Favorites

Skechers Go Run 400* - I have bought many different pairs of running shoes from all brands over the years. The one issue I always had was that I had to buy a separate pair of cushioned running insoles because the insoles in every pair of running shoes I have owned wasn’t enough. These running shoes are very well cushioned, lightweight and is perfect for my walking/jogging workout and I do not need a separate pair of insoles. These running shoes are perfection and will continue to buy workout shoes from Skechers.

Danskin Now Memory Foam Athletic Shoes* - These shoes are very comfortable, well cushioned and lightweight. These are perfect to wear when I am running errands, walking my dog or taking a leisurely stroll. These are great every day shoes.
